Individual Gestalt Therapy

Individual Gestalt therapy sessions are especially beneficial for those undergoing a severe identity or relational crisis, when re-centering and focusing on oneself and one’s inner being are crucial to identifying and overcoming the hurdles that hamper us along our path and block our own personal evolution and growth. One-on-one sessions are a unique opportunity for us to pause and find the way back to ourselves and our lives.

Individual therapy is particularly recommended and effective in helping individuals overcome a general sense of malaise and chronic states with feelings of unease, discomfort and inner tension such as:
- depression, stress and stress-related disorders, repeated lack of success and “doomed-to-fail” behavior, sexual dysfunction, sleeping disorders such as insomnia and nightmares, eating disorders, aggressive behavior, anxiety, lack of self-confidence and loss of self-esteem, relational disorders and difficulties in communicating with others.

One-on-one sessions are also highly recommended for those who have experienced traumatic events and suffer from post-traumatic stress following an accident, surgery, severe illness, bereavement and other losses such as separation, divorce, etc.

Working one-on-one with a Gestalt therapist is an optimal way to explore one’s relation to and with the world, others and oneself, so as to better identify the whys and wherefores of one’s discomfort and suffering. Individual therapy supports finding new approaches to one’s life and blazing new trails.
